The municipalities of La Palma del Condado and sign the Agreement between the Ministry of Interior (General Directorate of Police and Civil Guard), security, intended to improve the response police in criminal and administrative violations occurring in these municipalities.
New forms of crime and greater involvement of local councils in terms of security, affecting the functional competence framework and the local police, in the evolution of the English police model.
The local police need adequate resources to work effectively, and therefore Government Teams Hinojos and La Palma del Condado are analyzing the demands of citizens and the needs of its police force, so that they can develop providing adequate services.
The laws establish the need for coordinated action of the local police in their territory with Forces of State Security. In terms of technical means to increase efficiency and collaboration between them, the State Commission on Local Security adopted in 2007, a specific agreement in order to establish effective coordination between the security forces operating in the same municipality. In this context, establishing the need for integrated computer systems and consistent with methods and protocols for common action. To do this, and thanks to the accession of the two Councils Connection Protocol, said local police have been integrated into the State System of Police Databases INTPOL-SIGO, a program that uses the Guardia Civil and which aims to share information.
This initiative will enable a better relationship between the two bodies with the Guardia Civil, avoiding unnecessary duplication of interventions, because when the local police performed an action in relation to security, you must follow a specific protocol due to the scope of skills, moving to headquarters and put in charge of the Civil Guard post the steps taken and the documents and items seized, and subsequently inserted into the data system of the body. Thus, these procedures will be reduced and the staff may expand police presence on the roads improving citizen service.
In short, we are talking about a very positive initiative for our neighbors, in addition to the efforts that these municipalities are doing in the expansion and continued modernization of the technical means of its Institutes armed.
